Welcome to Candy Apple Orchard's web site ...

Another year is underway and we are already preparing for the 2025 Apple Season!!! The pruning has been completed, now the orchard clean-up is underway clearing up all the pruned branches!!

We are still enjoying a bit of rest and relaxation, especially as we are starting to see the sun more often. It has been a fairly mild winter but we can always expect a freeze with the full moon of Easter. Hopefully it will stay cool enough that we don't have buds or blossoms if a cold spell hits.

Our orchard has a variety of trees including Red Delicious, Golden Delicious and Rome Beauties. The Golden Delicious have a very good flavor and make a great applesauce and dried apples. Red Delicious, one of the most famous American varieties, are wonderful in Waldorf Salad. The Rome apples are a firm, slightly tart apple that are great for applesauce, caramel apples, apple pies, apple dumplings, baked apples, and apple crisps. All three are a good eating apple depending on your preference and are much better picked from the tree than from the grocery store.

All u-pick varieties are---- priced at $xxxx per pound.

We have gotten a number of requests from local photograhers wanting to take professional family photos in the orchard duiring either blossom or apple season. We have found that the structure of our orchard, two rows of trees circling our property, does not provide the dense orchard feel that most are looking for resulting in trespasses onto the neighboring orchards. But, call me with your interest and I will share with you some options.

We will plan to open a limited Field Trip schedule again in 2025. We always enjoy sharing orchard information with school groups and look forward to seeing you again this year.

Candy Apple Orchard is also making Reisinger Honey available to our customers who have an interest in local honey.

Our goal is to make your visit to our orchard a family adventure that you will want to repeat every year as some of our guests already do.
