Welcome to Candy Apple Orchard's web site ...

The time has arrived to get everyting ready for apple season!  We are almost ready to share your apple picking adventure in 2021.

We have brought in a fresh supply of all the extras we aim to have for our guests including the apple butter, pumpkin butter, salsas, and jams! Some product availability has been affected by the ability of Dutch Kettle to obtain glass jars for processing but, we were able to get a good variety.

We plan to open on Sunday, September 26 and will be open Sunday through Friday from 9:00 AM - 6:00 PM. We are always closed on Saturday.

We have a good apple crop and expect to be open through most of October; depending on the weather.

We hope to see you here soon!

Our orchard has a variety of trees including Red Delicious, Golden Delicious and Rome Beauties.  The Golden Delicious have a very good flavor and make a great applesauce and dried apples.  Red Delicious, one of the most famous American varieties, are wonderful in Waldorf Salad. The Rome apples are a firm, slightly tart apple that are great for applesauce, caramel apples, apple pies, apple dumplings, baked apples, and apple crisps.  All three are a good eating apple depending on your preference and are much better picked from the tree than from the grocery store.

All varieties are---- priced at $1.00 per pound.

We have gotten a number of requests from local photograhers wanting to take professional family photos in the orchard duiring either blossom or apple season.  We have found that the structure of our orchard, two rows of trees circling our property, does not provide the dense orchard feel that most are looking for resulting in trespasses onto the neighboring orchard.  But, call me with your interest and I will share with you some options.

We will plan to open a limited Field Trip schedule again in 2021.  We always enjoy sharing orchard information with school groups and look forward to seeing you again next this year.

Candy Apple Orchard is also making Reisinger Honey Available to our customers who have an interest in local honey.

We have replaced our supply of apple butter, pumpkin butter, and  fruit salsas; variety of salsas is limited this year due to Dutch Kettle's limited accessaccess to glass jars.

Our goal is to make your visit to our orchard  a family adventure that you will want to repeat every year as some of our guests already do.

We look forward to seeing you again Starting September 26, 2021!
